I’m feeling a lot of the same anger I felt in 2020, and with stuff like the ongoing “heat” in LA and San Diego a couple weeks ago I really think things might get crazy this summer. We should be ready as socialists to take advantage of it.
We’re not going to be ready for it, as socialists. You need a vanguard party to give political coherence and demands to spontaneous outbursts like that, as well as the ability to turn them into sustained projects. We need a party more than anything;
The police are feeling emboldened by Trump and acting even shittier than usual, people are getting more pissed off at them than usual, so it’s definitely possible that the nothing ever happens crew could soon be in shambles.
Despite earnest efforts from many actual socialist groups, I think we’re still on a backfoot. It’s gonna be a hot summer, but not for the pigs.

There are clips on that page from today in Paramount, CA where agents met pretty decent resistance, people aren’t having it, these aren’t black bloc or any sort of dedicated revolutionaries mostly it seems like, just regular people, which gives me some hope. But it does seem to be escalating.
I am 100% open to being shown otherwise, however my current view is that no conflict will occur.
Liberals will show up in droves with their Ukraine and Taiwan flags, stand around shouting platitudes, do nothing, demand nothing, and get sent home when they’ve been beaten up enough by the state security forces without ever fighting back.
For all practical purposes, there is no Left in America, and the ones that proudly proclaim it are too busy condemning each other online for not conforming to their perfect idea of the ideal Marxist proletariat (because that is totally our greatest priority in a political state where leftism doesn’t even exist) because god forbid they help a real person instead of telling other Marxists they deserve to be “proletariatized” for having a STEM education and are a fascist, actually, for consuming an egg.
Liberals are the majority of these crowds and they fundamentally cannot change the system they are themselves supporting, as we all already know.
The only thing left is collapse IMO.
