  • Damn, you must be a pretty shallow-minded person to miss the fact that the culture war is perpetuated by the rich to keep us from working together. Racism, religious institutions, sexism, queerphobia, these are tools that the rich and powerful use to keep us divided. When you allow them to wage a culture war unopposed, you are letting them use their ideological “weapons of war” without retaliation.

And no, this isn’t just about wanting to be called a woman. This is about being made illegal for who I am. I can’t fight against the wealth gap if I’m in prison for having tits and a dick, now can I? I can’t fight against the wealth gap if I’m struggling from derealization, depersonalization, dissociation, and suicidal depression brought about by crippling dysphoria as a result of being unable to access estrogen, now can I?

  • If I dared to suggest we prioritize reducing the disparity in wealth over fighting a culture war, you people immediately assume I’m an enemy.

No, because doing one means doing the other. Who do you think is waging the culture war in the first place?

Personally, as a trans person, I don’t want your loyalty. I don’t care about your loyalty. We don’t know one another at all so I don’t even know if you’re someone I’d actually want to hang around; and I’m not gonna ask for loyalty from a total stranger.

What I want is for you to act like a decent human being and understand that the culture war is part of a much larger war about wealth inequality; and that you’re going to struggle if you allow your allies to slowly get picked off by the ones waging the war in the first place. If that occurred then the best you could hope for would be a pyrrhic victory that leaves you asking, “we won, but at what cost?”

  • They can’t see that attacks on trans rights are also attacks on cis rights. I think that’s part of the reason why Rep. Zoey Zephyr and Rep. SJ Howell were so effective at stopping a couple pieces of anti-trans legislation in Montana yesterday. They talked about the fact that the legislation would potentially effect cis people as well as the fact that it’d take “parental rights” away from parents. They also did it in a way that created a narrative which both cis and trans people can identify with, creating a common ground to further convince people that the legislation was wrong. And it was successful. They got a number of Republican lawmakers to switch sides, despite the fact that the GOP prides itself on being in lockstep. They even had a Republican lawmaker make a stand too, saying that the people introducing this legislation were basically just wasting everyone’s time.

People say, “trans rights are human rights” and they’re serious. We embody the extreme of gender non-conformity that cis people occasionally dabble in, and when you start taking away our rights, you start taking away cis rights too.

  • Yeah. It’s one of the few things the Bible is fairly consistent about, along with golden calf/bronze bull imagery. I’m pretty sure there’s a historical religious explanation for why the Bible consistently referenced gold/bronze cattle, but I find it fascinating and kinda sad that they’re so blatantly worshipping something that the Bible consistently says is wrong. Like, there’s a lot of stuff in the Bible where it says one thing and then later says, “actually, wait, just kidding lol”; but it consistently talks about not worshipping idols while using cattle imagery.

  • I wore my opossum tail during family Christmas. No one cared. I wore my collar. No one cared. I wore my furry stuff and carried my plushies around and despite being 30yrs old, you know, the age well beyond the point where you’re supposed to have grown out of that stuff, no one cared. This was in Texas.

You know why I wore my opossum tail and collar? Because at the end of the day I feel like I have an opossum’s soul and it honestly feels really weird not to wear them. I’m fucking skrunkly and constantly worried about everything. Did I make a big deal out of it though? No. I just lived my life the way I wanted to and no one had a problem with it. The reason I don’t use neopronouns has nothing to do with their validity, I simply find them awkward. However I will not tell someone they are invalid or they shouldn’t use them themselves.

Oh, and before you try to tell me I’m invalid, I’m AMAB. I’m trans in more than one way.

  • I’m trans too, so it doesn’t matter how many times you say you’re trans sweetheart. That’s not gonna work. Furthermore, unlike you, I’ve decided not to let the cis people define who I am. If it wasn’t the otherkin and therians then it’d be someone else they’d be demanding we remove. I remember when people said enbies weren’t valid. So some people decided to try to exclude enbies from the definition of being trans and you know what happened? The leopards turned around and ate their faces once they were done feeding on the enbies.

Why do you care what cis people think? That’s the only reason why you’d care. That’s literally the only reason why you’d give a shit is if you think being trans is some kinda fucked up badge of pride or if you’re trying to tame transness for the poor, sensitive cis people. Lemme tell you, the leopard will never cease to be hungry sweetheart. Grow up and quit caring about what the cis bigots think. Stop helping them to be bigots. They’ll come for us sooner or later, doesn’t matter how many people you throw under the bus.

And yes, I’m being condescending because you’re acting like a child, trying to tell everyone how to play the game because a bunch of bullies once told you how you were supposed to play it. Do you know what those bullies are called? Fascists. Do you know what we do with fascists? I’ll give you a hint, we don’t sit down and drink tea with them. Fascists are not worth the air they breath. Stop feeding them. Until you do, you are no better than they are.
