Hey, congratulations! This place has its flaws, no doubt, but it’s a much improved community over what Reddit has become - especially in the past 2-3 years.

Clay moulds were definitely in use by this time. I couldn’t identify mould vs. hand-sculpted if my life depended on it, but it seems plausible that this may have been made with a mould!

Honestly, I’m at the point where, while I think there is a great deal of malice and certainly some horrific long-term plans, I genuinely believe that these people are idiots at this point. I’m just glad this post had brought some people to actually look into this fucker and maybe be more aware of the users they are interacting with on Lemmy. Someone might post a cut doggy picture and thats great, but maybe we should all be more aware of if that same person has posted racist or otherwise intolerable shit in the past too.

Yeah, I make mental notes of the worst of them, but I’m also terminally online.

IMHO we as users of Lemmy should absolutely be hounding the scum from the platform unless we want this to devolve into the same shit reddit has (a trend i’ve seen more and more and more over the last 6 months or so)

Shouting ‘Zionist’ at someone when they aren’t talking about Zionism-related issues makes you come off as a lunatic. It’s more likely to get you hounded off the platform.

It’s not enough to be passionate. You have to be strategic as well.
