I asked the same question just a couple months ago and the replies were mostly that I should repost.

Should I repost in c/news stuff in c/doomer or nah?

RFK Jr. all by himself is a c/doomer machine. I’ve reposted 4 times in this comm in the last 24 hours. Isn’t it too much? Also - Trump and his administration continue to get more and more insane. 4 posts is my current record but I’m sure I’ll break it soon. And then break that. And then…

Honestly, you might wanna ask news if you should start quarantining here instead, since “Pestilence continues to ride his horse” will be a headline every day forever.

Would absolutely warrant megathread links to the c/doomer posts though

      you might wanna ask news

I changed my ways before due to c/news related feedback. I decided if the news article was a sort of an “update” - I wouldn’t put it in news. In other words - I realized I don’t need to post over and over again about the measles case numbers. Today it’s 200. Now it’s 300. And now it’s 400. Oh, look - it’s 500. And…

But it seems to me Trump admin / RFK Jr. stuff is news if it’s - for lack of a better word - new. The CDC studying if vitamins work on measles is doomy and depressing as hell but it’s news - I think.

you could post them on c/doomer and then post a link to the hexbear post in the news megathread, thats what is normally do with c/indigenous posts

As one of literally 2 mods on this comm (how the fuck did that happen) I don’t have an opinion on it and am happy to let the community decide how to handle this.

I don’t really care which comm it gets posted to or if there are two threads, I just participate in whichever is bigger tbh. Unless c/news has a problem with threads being too doomer/negative/whatever it doesn’t bother me to not have a crosspost here. Especially for RFK type threads- I don’t feel like I have anything particularly doomer I want to say about them, like I do the climate threads for example. But it really doesn’t matter much to me which way you go with it.

I don’t find the amount of news too much (in like a, you aren’t posting too much way). If stuff is happening I want to know.
