Same because of this sort of thing happening. Or back in the day, the page sometimes crashing. But at this point if it’s a long effortpost of a response I’ll draft it up in a text editor first.

Yeah. The UI already does that if you try to close a tab with a draft comment.
I always highlight long comments and copy them, so if i accidentally delete it or hit cancel then I can paste from clipboard
Website should just post when you hit cancel or navigate away from the page.
whenever i navigate away from the page while writing a comment its bc i suddenly got anxious that my post was bad so i agree
there’s nothing worse than writing a good comment, then tabbing away bc of self doubt, and then coming back to the tab like four hours later when the post is already on page 3 and everyone’s moved on
the joy of posting is you get to do it again!
