As Siemiatkowski told Bloomberg, “cost unfortunately seems to have been a too predominant evaluation factor when organizing this, what you end up having is lower quality.”

Now, the company says it imagines an “Uber-type of setup” to fill their ranks, with gig workers logging in remotely to argue with customers from the comfort of their own homes.

“We’re going to expose customers’ personal data to whoever with little to no accountability” is all I can see there

Wow… talk about jumping the gun there. “We’re first to base our whole company on an LLM! Oh no, it was a bad move!”

2 years they’ve been doing this? How are they still around?

Because the goal was to get rid of employee bargaining rights:

Now, the company says it imagines an “Uber-type of setup” to fill their ranks, with gig workers logging in remotely to argue with customers from the comfort of their own homes.

They’ll use this to reduce their workforce to 10% of what it was, but still expect them to pick up 100% of the slack caused by the AI.
