My observations from the interview inside the spoiler window.

spoiler

The brother’s name is Louis Prevost. Louis is a chud.

Louis says that his brother was not super political, not left or right, “finds a way to go down the middle”

Louis is against illegal immigration. Louis says violating US law is not different from violating church law. Compares undocumented migration to violating church law.

Louis considers himself to be “anti-woke”. Louis says the pope is not “woke”.

Louis says that he believes the Pope will appoint women to advisory positions in the church but not allow them to be priests.

Louis says same sex marriage is “not correct”, but thinks the Pope will allow gay people to attend Catholic church.

Louis posted Paul Pelosi conspiracy theory on twitter, the chud conspiracy theory that Paul Pelosi and David DePape were secretly in a romantic relationship.

Louis refers to himself as a “maga type”.

Louis posted on twitter that Biden allowed “gangs of illegals creating havoc without any punishment”

Louis has met Ronald Reagan and Donald Trump in person.

This dude has a terrible fucking relationship with his brother if he just goes on the media and starts fucking him over with political statements that will cause trouble for him, no matter whether it was left or right culturally it would cause issues with one or another group. Good family would not do this to you without checking in first.

Gonna be really, really annoying to put up with the media getting ahold of everyone related to the pope for 10 years because he’s literally Bob from Chicago and all these people are desperate for attention.

That doesn’t really mean shit though. My family are scumbags who would love to get their 5 minutes of fame on Piers Morgan if I ever become someone notable or influential. Doesn’t mean the pope will be a massive scumbag just because his brother is.

Of course, the pope probably will be a massive scumbag, but it has nothing to do with his shithead brother.

I posted this interview because it seems interesting. Gossip seems like the appropriate comm because Piers Morgan sucks and the brother is a chud.

I’ve added a summary in the description. The brother says what he thinks the pope’s political opinions are. He says they talk twice a week. The brother may be lying or may be telling the truth. Either way it’s still his brother and it’s interesting to know that the pope has a chud American brother.

I don’t understand why we care about what the pope has to say around here. Dude bad the power of Strong Suggestion over one sect of one religion, it’s a big one but if he were to do anything even remotely radical we’d have a second anti pope to some and a first for many. There are freaks our there still mad at Vatican 2 and protstsntism is pretty popular as well. This is like caring about how woke the king of England is.

I’m from a catholic family, and saw the influence of John Paul II on older family members. Doctrine hasn’t changed much, but Francis toned down the obsession with abortion and anti-communism, and emphasized the more accepting parts of church doctrine.

Also, liberation theology is good. Having a pope that’s not extreme anticommunist probably has some positive effects for latin america’s more radical catholics

Also, the vatican is a sovereign state. I don’t think it should be, but it is. So its leader has some amount of legal influence on world politics
